Micro-invasive Spine Surgeon
Dr. Chung is one of few dual-fellowship trained spine surgeons in Arizona who has trained with both world renowned neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons.
He brings the best of both worlds to offer the latest in ultra minimally-invasive, non-fusion, and outpatient spine surgical techniques.
His goal, first and foremost, is to get you back to living your best possible life with or without surgery.
As an orthopedic spine surgeon, he is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of all musculoskeletal issues of the spine and extremities. He will help you to arrive at a correct diagnosis and ensure that you are being treated for the right problem.
Your Well-Being is our Main Priority.
Dr. Chung has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles in major spine and orthopedic journals and has written several book chapters on spine surgical care. A surgeon-scientist, he knows how and when to best apply the latest research to your spinal care. It's important to know that the "latest" does not necessarily mean effective.
From chiropractic school to spine surgeon, Dr. Chung's takes pride in his unique journey to becoming a spinal surgeon. As a result of his training, he takes on a holistic and conservative philosophy to spine care. Surgery is always a last resort and he treats all of his patients as he would family members.
